Privacy Policy
Skyfriend is operated by Very Important Computing, LLC. This policy explains the information used to run your personal AI friend, including optional texting.

What Skyfriend keeps
When you sign in with ChatGPT, we receive and store your sign-in identity, name, and email address. Signing in does not import your ChatGPT conversations or memories.
We store the profile you create, including your name, your friend’s name, preferred tone, and what you want help with. We also store your messages, AI replies, saved memories, and usage records so you can continue your conversation and manage your message allowance.
If you use texting, we process your phone number, your friend’s assigned number, text messages, connection status, opt-in and opt-out records, and technical messaging information such as message identifiers, timestamps, and processing or delivery status.
How your information is used
We use this information to identify your account, personalize replies, keep your conversation and memory available, connect your phone, honor messaging preferences, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot the service. Your web conversation and texts use the same Skyfriend account and saved memories.
Your profile, relevant conversation history, and saved memories are sent to OpenAI to generate replies. Please share only information you are comfortable having processed by an AI service.
The services that help us run Skyfriend
We use ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare for hosting, account access, and storage; OpenAI for AI reply generation; and Twilio for phone numbers and SMS delivery. These providers process information needed to provide their services. For example, Twilio processes phone numbers and text content to receive and deliver messages.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile information, SMS opt-in data, and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. They may be provided to service providers only as needed to operate and support the texting service, or as required by law.
What you can change or remove
You can review, edit, and delete saved notes in Memory. Editing or deleting a memory also clears the current conversation stored in Skyfriend so that conversation is not reused as context. Start fresh clears the current conversation but keeps your saved memories and profile.
You can disconnect your phone in Text your friend, or text STOP to stop SMS replies. Disconnecting or opting out does not delete your Skyfriend account, conversation, or saved memories.
For account deletion, access, or other privacy requests, email vicc@veryimportantcomputing.com. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you before acting on a request.
Retention and service records
Account data is kept to provide the service until it is removed through the available controls or an account request. Those controls do not necessarily erase operational logs, usage records, messaging records, backups, or copies held by service providers immediately. Some records may need to be retained for security, billing, legal obligations, or to honor opt-out preferences.
