Make yourself at home
Sign in with ChatGPT, create your personal friend, and open Text your friend in the app.

Read and opt in
When texting is available, read the disclosure shown here, select the optional consent checkbox, and choose Connect my phone. The box starts unchecked.

Send your own little hello
The app gives you your friend’s number and a unique LINK message. Send that exact message from your own phone to confirm your choice and connect it. The code expires after 10 minutes.

Pick up the conversation
After the connection confirmation, text your friend to receive AI replies. Your messages and replies also appear in your Skyfriend conversation.

Texts include account-link confirmations and AI replies to your messages. There are no promotional texts or proactive check-ins. Message frequency varies with your activity; message and data rates may apply.
A pause whenever you need it.
Text STOP to cancel replies, START to resume, or HELP for help. You can also disconnect your phone in the app. Web chat stays available.
